This project is also different from all my previous ones because it was made for a Game Jam — specifically the Unity 20th Anniversary Game Jam. It was a major event running from November 7th, 2025 at 6 PM until the beginning of November 10th, giving us around 55 hours to build a game from scratch. As with any Game Jam, a theme was announced at the start of the weekend, and this year’s theme was “Timeless”.
Since the project was created in just over 50 hours, I wasn’t able to implement a large number of features. Instead of focusing on what I built, I think it’s more interesting to talk about how we organized ourselves as a team. In this section, I’ll explain how we came up with the game idea, how we divided the tasks, and—most importantly—how we maintained a smooth development workflow. Avoiding technical issues whenever someone added or updated files was crucial, especially in a fast-paced “rush” event like this.
Participating in this Game Jam was a valuable experience both creatively and technically. Working under tight time constraints pushed us to stay focused, communicate efficiently, and make clear design decisions from the start. Despite the limited timeframe, we managed to deliver a cohesive and fully playable project while keeping our workflow smooth throughout the weekend.
What made this experience even more special was seeing our game recognized by the community. Out of 434 submitted games, our project ranked 4th place overall, which was incredibly rewarding and highlighted the strength of our teamwork and our shared vision.
Beyond the final ranking, the process itself was just as meaningful: adapting quickly, collaborating effectively, and finding simple but reliable solutions without overengineering. This project significantly strengthened my ability to work in a team, manage priorities, and deliver a polished game under pressure — skills that I will confidently carry forward into future projects.
